Järfälla Library consists of the libraries in Jakobsberg, Bas Barkarby, Kallhäll, and Viksjö. The position of substitute librarian is primarily based at the Bas Barkarby library and Viksjö library, but work at other libraries may occur.

The libraries in Järfälla operate within a process-oriented organization focusing on program activities, communication and reception, media and digitization, innovation, and MIK. We always strive to keep the user in focus and often use service design as a method. Järfälla municipality has been a Finnish administrative area since 2018.

The position is a part-time substitute for 75% until May 31, 2026.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• You staff the libraries according to a schedule that includes evening and weekend work
• You welcome groups from preschool and school and lead activities
• You participate in general tasks at the library such as shelving books and weeding

QUALIFICATIONS

• Have a degree in library and information science or equivalent academic education that the employer finds relevant for the position
• Have an easy time collaborating
• Be communicative and structured
• Knowledge of languages other than Swedish and English is an advantage
• Previous work in a library is an advantage
